On April 9, Ken Doucette will be retiring after 50 years of dedicated service to our great nation. Ken has served his country with the Canadian Armed Forces and the Canadian Forces Personnel Support Agency (now CFMWS), his impressive service and sports record can be seen here.

I have known Ken since 2001 and have had the incredible privilege to work with him over the last 18 years. With Ken’s vision, energy and drive, two of the most successful NPP Sponsorship & Donation programs were established in Halifax and Kingston, as well as a number of extremely successful programs including Family Days in both cities.  Ken was also instrumental in the stand up of the Family Day and the S&D Program at CFSU Ottawa. I have come to know Ken as a passionate visionary, mentor and all-around great friend. His infectious energy and relentless drive to always improve the Personnel Support Programs that our brave men and women in uniform deserve has never ceased to amaze me. People that know Ken will realize that retirement is not really going to happen and he will always stay connected to the community we serve in one way or another.

I am inviting you to help me celebrate this milestone for Ken and Denise by leaving congratulatory messages, videos or photos here. You will find instructions on how to post here.

While there is no official retirement function planned, I will present Ken with these congratulatory messages on a later date this year in Nova Scotia at a private meeting, in accordance with his wishes.
