Ken had the distinction of holding three marathon records at one time, the CF Marathon Record Holder with a time of 2:24:14 breaking Johnny Miles NS provincial record which Miles held since 1926, and the PEI Marathon Record. Has recorded 5 marathons at or under 2:30:00.

Ken is married to Denise for 47 years, they have one son Paul who is a LCol with the RCAF Public Affairs Branch. Paul & Alanna have blessed Ken & Denise with 2 beautiful grandchildren, Sophie and Charlie.
